Launched in 2014 and co-financed by the European Commission, the Liveurope Platform enables concert venues to book more European bands and to collaborate internationally. Since the start of the activities, close to 5000 European concerts have benefited from the support of Liveurope in the member venues of the platform.
To ensure the smooth functioning of the platform and amplify its growth, an extremely motivated and very professional team is required in its coordination unit based in the internationally renowned venue Ancienne Belgique, one of the founding members of the initiative. This is why we are looking for a Platform Coordinator.
About the Role
- Financial and administrative management: leads the administrative and financial tasks of the project together with the AB administration team and in connection with the EACEA Agency and other external partners. This includes following up the platform’s overall budget, the EU grant agreement (and potential contract amendments), as well as the reporting for the EU grant and other partnerships;
- Governance and project management: designs, drives and implements the project’s strategy, including the distribution of financial support to members, the membership growth, the platform’s internal and external activities (notably Europe Day and the Liveurope rotating festival), as well as the platform’s external partnerships (Pro Helvetia, Above 55° etc.);
- Team management: oversees the work distribution within the team and provides regular feedback to the team members and the Liveurope steering committee;
- Public relations, policy and advocacy: represents the platform externally and towards the media; takes an active role in the discussions on EU policy and EU funding for culture and music; leads the negotiations with current and prospective financial partners.
Your Profile Must be:
- 4-8 years of experience in the EU affairs landscape – managing EU-funded projects, or working on EU policy issues;
- Advanced knowledge on the cultural and creative sectors, the music industry and cross-border cooperation;
- Preferably, you also have experience working closely with a diverse set of stakeholders from the European music ecosystem ranging from cultural SMEs and professionals, umbrella organisations to EU institution representatives;
- A natural multitasker and you manage to keep the big picture in mind even in fast-paced and time-pressured contexts;
- Service-oriented and impact-driven approach and you have a talent for inspiring others to achieve results;
- You can easily adapt to very distinct environments and you excel at creating connections with people from different backgrounds or geographic contexts;
- Great analytical skills and you like to come up with creative and out-of-the box solutions for effective problem-solving;
- Strong sense of responsibility and you are ready to work long hours or travel during weekends;
- You are fluent in English (native level): you are ready to interact exclusively in English at work and you are capable of writing compelling grant applications and policy papers on music and international cooperation;
- You are based in Brussels or ready to move in Brussels immediately.
